It's been a while since I've posted anything and I have been spurred on to do so by a bad dose of the 'holiday blues'
After a week away enjoying the Northern Coast of Crete, aqua blue lagoons, endless sunshine, beautiful sunsets, great food, even better cocktails and delightful people it was a bit of a shock to the system to be boarding a bus heading for Central London at 7.30am this morning. It was an even bigger shock to try get back into the swing of things but 7 hours later I'm beginning to feel like I was never away.
If you ever find yourself in the pretty town of Rethymnon you must visit the following;
Alana - pretty restaurant with great meat dishes at very reasonable prices and waitors. Loved their brightly coloured hand blown tumblers. www.alana-restaurant.gr
Living Room - situated on the seafront in the old town, this bar is uber stylish with a very relaxed vibe www.living.com.gr
Avli - beautiful surroundings, ask to be seated in the garden out back which is away from the busy side streets of the old town. Great food, a little a on the pricey side but worth every penny www.avli.gr
That's enough day dreaming for one day, the cold chill streaming in the window from a dull, overcast London has brought me back to reality!
